Controlled Release
Higher molecular weight/viscosity grades of NISSO HPC can be used for controlled release hydrophilic matrix tablets. Typical addition rate between 20-30% for effective delayed release of active ingredients are possible. HPC H and VH are recommended.

Film Coating
NISSO HPC is suitable for both aqueous and organic coating systems. It provides a robust yet flexible film coating with low tackiness, high moisture barrier properties as well as sharper imprint definition. HPC L, SL and SSL are recommended.

Sterile Filtration
NISSO HPC is suitable for sterile filtration application because of its high purity and lack of additives such as silica. Filtration efficiency depends on the concentration of HPC, its viscosity as well as the filter used. HPC SSL, SL and L are recommended.
